Best Upcoming Video Game Remakes
There has already been a strong opinion about remakes and remasters. Some voice their complaints, while others jump for join to jump back into an improved version of their favorite video games. With a large amount of video game remakes and remasters already in a genre of its, we will discuss some of the most anticipated remakes coming to you soon.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Final Fantasy 7 is arguably the most iconic JRPG video game of all time. It brought to the series and genre something people could never imagine. A game with so much, that it required several disc just to store the game on Playstation One. Ever since remakes and remasters have become a thing, fans have chanted loudly for it, and when it was revealed at the 2015 E3 conference, people lost their minds. Who knows when we will actually see the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake but one thing is for sure, we are ready when you are Square Enix.
Zelda Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch
The Legend of Zelda series has a rich history of games in the series, spreading out on handhelds and consoles all the way back to the NES Nintendo Entertainment System. While most consider Ocarina of Time to be the best in the series, there is a strong love for Zelda Link’s Awakening from the Nintendo Game Boy. So much so, that in Nintendo’s recent Nintendo Direct for February 2019, they unveiled the release of a full remake of Zelda Link’s Awakening on the Nintendo Switch. The art style is similar to Zelda A Link Between Worlds. Nintendo has remade a couple Zelda games in the series over the years, and this was definitely an interesting choice. Keep feeding me the Zelda Remakes, because I can never get enough of that series!
System Shock Remake
System Shock is a game many gamers today have not played, but only heard of how great it was and experienced this through the Bioshock series. The release date for System Shock is 2020. Nightdive put the plan back in motion and the game was back in production in April of this year after launching a Kickstarter for the game, so that release date is probably fairly accurate, but you never know. The game has been confirmed to have gone from a "remake" to a "reinterpretation" which is exciting for fans of the original game. This is a work we're anxious to see when it's finally completed.
Bowser’s Inside Story
The newest installment of the 'port every Mario and Luigi title ever made to the 3DS' franchise is Bowser's Inside Story! In this title, the Mario brothers get sucked into Bowser's body, and have to help him take down Fawful, who's trying to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Look, you can’t say Nintendo isn’t creative on this one. This allows for tons of unique and fun gameplay elements, and the new Bowser Jr's Journey addition makes this title a great package for any 3DS owners looking for something to play! There’s still some people playing their 3DS out there, right?
